		<description>Good point Bill. The studies I have looked at suggest that our problem isn&#039;t a supply-and-demand issue (enough patients or enough doctors/nurses). The issue is all the people in between the patient and the doctor/nurse. The insurance companies and bureaucrats have too much say.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;For example, if you look at cosmetic surgery, it is typically not an insurable procedure. So the patient pays the doctor directly. Over the past 20 years, the cost of cosmetic surgery has dropped while the service and technology surrounding it has gone up. That&#039;s free enterprise at it&#039;s best without big business (insurance cos) and big government intervening. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I have read reports that we have a shortage of nurses, so if that is what you were leaning toward, I do think that is a hole that needs to be plugged. Not sure what impact that would have on health care costs.</description>
